Experiments!
The first grade students enjoyed making a lava lamp out of oil, water, food coloring, and a denture cleaner. They were amazed that vinegar could errode the shell of an egg. We also made colored swirls in milk by add Dawn dish soap to milk and food coloring. The children loved watching the balloon blow up by using vinegar and baking soda.
We did four experiments in two weeks!
