Superintendent
Welcome to Shickley Public School. I am honored to serve as the superintendent as we
continue to provide exceptional small-town experiences for our youth in a setting that nurtures
children to become productive, engaged adults. From educational opportunities for our
youngest Longhorns to career and college readiness opportunities for high schoolers, Shickley is
truly one-of-kind.
Leading any school district can be a challenging job, but Shickley has a team of hard-working,
caring teachers and staff who are willing to pitch in and do whatever it takes for the
betterment of our kids and the community. We work to instill those same characteristics in
students through the Longhorn Way. It is a motto the district uses to encourage positive
interaction, kindness, hard work, encouragement, and a constructive approach to problems.
The future of the district is strong. Numbers in our lower grades look promising and the district
continues to manage its finances in a responsible manner. We have invested in the school’s future
by updating much of its aging infrastructure during the past two years and school leaders have
identified updates that need to be implemented to keep ahead of academic and logistical changes to
ensure a bright future for Shickley students and a vibrant community. It is an honor to work in a small
school with the community support that Shickley enjoys. My goals are to lead, manage, and ensure
a strong and stable school now and enhance opportunities for future Longhorns.
