Halloween Poems!
The students have learned how to write Halloween poems as a group and are now working with friends to practice their new skill. They also had the opportunity to collaborate with our online students and were very productive with their time. They discovered that it is sometimes important to use other people's ideas instead of their own. Next week they will write poems independently but will have their writing partner on reserve if they need ideas. Writing becomes much more enjoyable at this age if it is silly or as we say it "Whack a doodle!" We are collecting all of the poems for a class book to be read during their independent reading time.
