Seniors Write Analytically

This spring semester, senior students have the option of enrolling in English for dual credit through our partnership with Peru State College.  The mission of English 101: English Composition is to prepare students for success in college and career by developing their skills in writing, reading, and critical thinking.

One of the genres of writing the seniors are exploring is Analytical Writing.  This type of composition requires the author to consider and interpret information, rather than reporting on it.  As the culminating project for this unit, each student was asked to publish a 500-600 word analytical writing, selected from a(n) analysis of process, essay of comparison, essay of classification, essay of definition, cause/effect essay, problem/solution essay, or esssay of evaluation.  You are invited to read their writing here:
