Seniors Compose Personal Writing

This spring semester, senior students have the option of enrolling in English for dual credit through our partnership with Peru State College.  The mission of English 101: English Composition is to prepare students for success in college and career by developing their skills in writing, reading, and critical thinking.

One of the genres of writing the seniors are exploring is Personal Writing.  This type of composition allows authors to explore who they are, where they have been, and where they hope to go, as well as connect with the world and share their experiences.  As the culminating project for this unit, each student was asked to publish a 500-600 word personal writing, selected from a personal reminiscence, personal essay, or college-entrance essay.  You are invited to read their writing here:
