 My name is Karma Yantzie and I have taught business & computer courses at Shickley Public School since 2005. Along with teaching, I am the FBLA Adviser, and the concessions food coordinator. In July 2012, I graduated from UNK with a Masters in Ed. Administration.
I live in York with my husband Doug, who works for Sargent Drilling in Geneva. Our Ryan, who graduated from SHS in 2009 and currently lives in York, NE and is employed at York Elementary School.
Our daughter, Makaleigh, graduated from SHS in 2013 and from Fort Hays State University in Hays, KS. She recently got married and will teach SPED at Kearney High School and coach the 9th grade volleyball team. She lives with her husband, Jon, on a farm near Pleasanton, NE along with their three goats: Karen, Lola and Winnie.
Madison, graduated from Shickley in 2016, Central Community College-Columbus in 2018, and graduated from the Mortuary Science program at DMACC in Iowa in 2018. She returned to NE and worked at the Braman Mortuary & Cremation Services until July 2021. After moving to Columbus, she works at the Nebraska Oral & Facial Surgery as a surgical assistant. She lives with her fiance Ben and their two dogs: Annie and Jovi.
In my free time, I love to play golf, shop, watch a good movie, and spend time with family and friends.
